Wafer Butterfly Valve with Stainless Steel Disc

The iron wafer butterfly valve has an iron body and a stainless steel disc. This makes it wear-resistant and offers a long service life. Additionally, it is available with three types of seats: EPDM, NBR, and Viton.

The EPDM seat forms a seal that prevents leaks in water systems. The NBR seat resists oils and chemicals, making it ideal for the chemical and petroleum industries. The Viton seat handles harsh fluids and tolerates high temperatures.

The disc rotates 1/4 turn to open or close the flow. Sizes up to 10" include a lever. From 12" upwards, a gearbox with a handwheel is included. We also offer the version with a pneumatic or electric actuator.

Seat selection according to fluid — three variants available

This product is available with three elastomeric seat options. Select the correct variant for your process fluid:

EPDM Seat — Water, HVAC, and General Services

• ✅ Drinking water, industrial water, seawater
• ✅ Hot water up to 130 °C
• ✅ Chlorinated water up to 5 ppm, wastewater
• ✅ Low-pressure steam up to 3 bar
• ✅ NaOH up to 10%, dilute acids of low concentration
• ✅ HVAC — chilled water and hot water
• ❌ Not compatible with oils, fuels, or organic solvents

NBR (Nitrile) Seat — Oils, Fuels, and Hydrocarbons

• ✅ Mineral oils, vegetable oils, hydraulic oils
• ✅ Gasoline, diesel, fuel oil, kerosene
• ✅ Water with oil content
• ⚠️ Maximum temperature: 100 °C in oil / 80 °C in water
• ❌ Not compatible with hot water above 80 °C
• ❌ Not compatible with chlorinated solvents, ketones, or esters

Viton (FKM) Seat — Organic Solvents and High Temperature

• ✅ Toluene, xylene, aromatics, chlorinated solvents
• ✅ Ketones (acetone, MEK), esters
• ✅ Aromatic hydrocarbons and high-octane gasolines
• ✅ Temperature up to 200 °C — the widest range of the three
• ✅ Moderately concentrated acids
• ❌ Not compatible with methanol or amines at high concentration
