High Power Double-Acting Pneumatic Piston Actuator
The double-acting pneumatic piston actuator is a crank arm device that operates in both directions using compressed air. Therefore, it converts the linear motion of the piston into a precise 90° rotation, for both opening and closing. Unlike single-acting actuators, it does not use a return spring.
Consequently, it delivers higher net torque throughout the stroke and a faster response in both directions. It is ideal for operating ball, butterfly, and segmented ball valves in high-demand ON/OFF services.
The crank arm features an integral cast construction. Additionally, it offers high strength, good stability, and strong impact resistance.
Moreover, it includes two lateral adjustment screws that allow for stroke regulation within a ±10° range. As a result, adjustment is quick and easy without special tools. Furthermore, by operating with compressed air in both chambers, the available torque is greater and more uniform than in single-acting models.

Main Applications
The pneumatic piston actuator is used in the automation of quarter-turn valves, such as ball, butterfly, and segmented ball valves. It is also used for flow control and isolation in liquid and gas process lines.
Quarter-turn valve automation The pneumatic piston actuator operates ball, butterfly, and segmented ball valves in ON/OFF services. Therefore, it is the preferred choice when high torque force is required in confined spaces.
Industrial flow control and isolation Enables automatic operation of liquid and gas process lines. Additionally, it reduces manual intervention and improves cycle repeatability.
Chemical, petrochemical, and process plants Ensures reliable actuation using compressed air in aggressive environments. Consequently, it is suitable for corrosive fluids, vapors, and high temperatures.
Water and wastewater treatment systems Operates in potable water, industrial water, and effluent treatment systems. Furthermore, it supports continuous operation in humid and industrial environments.
Power generation and auxiliary services Used in compressed air, steam, thermal oils, and general service fluid applications. Therefore, it is compatible with the requirements of power plants and refineries.
Integration into skids and packaged equipment Easily integrates with solenoid valves, limit switch boxes, and positioners. Consequently, it allows for complete automation in compact process modules.
