Smart Linear Electric Actuator | Precise Positioning for Control Valves

CEMATIC's smart linear electric actuator is, without a doubt, the most complete solution for automating linear motion control valves. Unlike conventional On-Off actuators, this model allows the valve to be positioned at any intermediate point within its operating range. This is possible thanks to its 4 to 20 mA modulating control signal.

Why choose the smart linear electric actuator?

First, its advanced control technology guarantees exact positioning with real-time digital feedback. In addition, it incorporates an LCD screen that allows the opening percentage to be viewed directly in the field, so no additional instruments are required.

Furthermore, its IP67 protection rating construction makes it suitable for wet environments and hose washdowns. This way, the actuator operates reliably even in the most demanding conditions.

Thanks to its 4,000 N thrust force and a 60 mm stroke, this actuator is compatible with single-seat, double-seat, gate, and knife gate valves. Therefore, it is ideal for regulating small flows as well as controlling flows in larger diameter pipes. It should be noted that this equipment is delivered assembled and tested, ready for installation.

Applications

It is a device that converts a control signal (usually electrical) into linear motion, allowing a control valve to be precisely positioned at any point within its operating range (not just open/closed, but at intermediate positions). This allows continuous and precise regulation of fluid flow in a process. Below are some of its main applications:

  • Automation of linear valves: For control, knife gate, gate, or globe valves with linear motion (water, steam, gas, etc.).

  • Water treatment plants: Flow control in pumping, filtering systems, and process valves.

  • Power generation: Automation of valves in power, thermal or renewable energy plants.

  • Petrochemical and Oil & Gas industry: Remote and safe control of valves in demanding or hazardous environments.

  • General industrial processes: HVAC, pharmaceutical, chemical, paper, steel, and food industries.
